Conventions/Trips
DC Trip
Our trip to Washington, D.C. gives companies in the D.C. area a chance to take our members on a tour of their facilities, as well as have one-on-one conversations with them to potentially offer an interview for an internship/full-time job. This trip is also a fun opportunity for members to explore the D.C. area, tour companies, and learn a lot about how different engineering companies work on the a daily basis.
The Fall DC Trip will take place in Washington, D.C from November 2nd to 4th, 2023.
National Conference
The NSBE National Conference is an annually held event that connects companies with over 10,000 NSBE members. This experience creates the opportunity for our students to connect with members on the national level as well as companies. This 4-day event consists of workshops, meetings, and a career fair with some of the biggest names in the industry.
The 50th Annual National Convention will be held in Kansas City, MO from March 22nd to 26th, 2023.
Fall Regional Conference
The FRC is held for our fellow local NSBE chapters from surrounding states to connect together. It gives students the opportunity to meet with companies and other regional members for interactive events and workshops
The 2022 FRC will take place in Bethesda, MD on October 27-30th.
Zone Summits
Virginia Tech resides in the "O-Zone", which is one of the 5 zones within NSBE's Region II. O-Zone consists of all the Virginia chapters except Northern Virginia. Every semester, the Zone Coordinators plan a summit for all the chapters to come together and experience engaging workshops and more.
The 2022 Fall Zone Summit will take place in Blacksburg, VA at Virginia Tech on October 8th.
